The VICTOR Denmark Open 2025 continued with high-stakes action on October 16 at Jyske Bank Arena in Odense, as the round of 16 unfolded. Seven Indonesian shuttlers entered the fray, but only three advanced to the quarterfinals, showcasing a mix of triumphs and tough exits in this BWF World Tour Super 750 event.

n men's singles, sixth-seeded Jonatan Christie delivered a dominant performance, dismantling Japan's Kodai Naraoka 21-7, 21-13 in just 41 minutes. This victory propels him into his fourth quarterfinal of the season, where he'll face China's Li Shifeng. Christie's aggressive play and precise shots overwhelmed Naraoka, highlighting his strong form following recent successes. Men's doubles proved to be Indonesia's strongest sector, with two pairs progressing. Seventh seeds Fajar Alfian and Muhammad Shohibul Fikri secured their spot in the quarterfinals with a solid win, building on their first-round momentum. Meanwhile, the new pairing of Muhammad Rian Ardianto and Rahmat Hidayat continued their impressive run, overcoming their opponents to set up a blockbuster quarterfinal clash against India's Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty. Their debut partnership has been a revelation, blending Ardianto's experience with Hidayat's agility.

However, not all went Indonesia's way. Sabar Karyaman Gutama and Moh Reza Pahlevi Isfahani fell to China's fifth seeds Liang Wei Keng and Wang Chang in a competitive match. In women's singles, Putri Kusuma Wardani couldn't advance, exiting after a valiant effort. The women's doubles duo Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma and Meilysa Trias Puspitasari also bowed out, as did mixed doubles pair Adnan Maulana and Indah Cahya Sari Jamil. With three representatives—Jonatan Christie, Fajar/Fikri, and Rian/Rahmat—still in contention, Indonesia remains a force as the tournament heads into the quarterfinals on October 17. These results underscore the nation's depth in men's events while signaling areas for growth elsewhere. Badminton fans can expect more excitement ahead!
